VPS Terms

Terms for Linux and Windows VPS: managed and unmanaged, use, backups and support.

Please read this agreement carefully, as it contains important information regarding your legal rights and remedies.

SN WHITE HOSTING – VPS Terms

Effective date: October 24, 2026

These terms govern Linux and Windows virtual private servers (VPS), including those delivered with pre-installed applications or panels. They apply together with the General Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use and Security Policy and the Cancellation, Refund and Withdrawal Policy. The service is provided by SN SOLUTIONS LLC.

1. What is included

  • A virtual server with the resources of the plan ordered (processor, memory, storage, bandwidth and IP addresses), in the location you choose, as detailed on the website and in the client area. Your plan's resources are reserved for your server.
  • Administrator access (root or Administrator) to the server.
  • The operating system or application you choose when ordering.
  • 24/7 technical support by ticket for the infrastructure (section 6).

2. Activation and term

  • The server is activated as soon as payment is confirmed, usually within minutes.
  • It lasts for the period ordered and renews automatically for the same period, unless you cancel it before the due date from the client area (https://clients.snwhitehosting.com).

3. Unmanaged and managed VPS

3.1. Unmanaged

You administer the server. You are responsible for its configuration, its security, system and application updates, users and backups. We make sure the infrastructure (hardware, virtualisation, network and power) works.

3.2. Managed

In addition, with a managed VPS we take care of:

  • The initial installation and configuration of the operating system, the panel and basic services.
  • Security updates for the operating system and the panel.
  • Monitoring the server and resolving system incidents.

Management does not include developing or maintaining your applications or websites, or backups, which are ordered separately (section 5).

3.3. Changing type

  • The managed option is chosen when ordering. An unmanaged VPS cannot be switched to managed once delivered; a new server must be ordered instead.
  • You can switch a managed VPS to unmanaged at any time.

4. Use of the server

  • You can use the server for any lawful purpose that complies with the Acceptable Use and Security Policy.
  • It may not be used for DDoS attacks, unauthorised network scanning, malware distribution, phishing, spam or any activity that harms third parties or the reputation of our IP addresses.
  • Sending email: by default, port 25 is blocked to prevent spam. If you need to send email directly from the server, ask by ticket and we will review it.
  • If the server is compromised or used abusively, we may restrict its network or suspend it to protect third parties and our network, and we will let you know.

5. Backups

  • VPS do not include backups. Keeping backups of your data is your responsibility, unless you order a backup plan from us, which is governed by its own features.
  • We are not responsible for data loss if you have no backups. We recommend storing them outside the server itself.

6. Technical support

  • We provide support by ticket 24 hours a day, every day. Critical incidents (server down, security breach) are prioritised if you mark the ticket as "URGENT".
  • On an unmanaged VPS, support covers the infrastructure: that the server boots, has network access and has its resources. It does not include configuring or repairing the software you install, although we will guide you where possible.
  • On a managed VPS, support also covers what is listed in section 3.2.

7. Windows VPS

  • Windows VPS include the Windows Server license in the price, while the service is active.
  • The license is provided only for use on that server: you may not transfer it, resell it or use it on other machines, and you must comply with Microsoft's terms of use for service providers.
  • Other Microsoft licenses (for example, multi-user Remote Desktop or SQL Server) are not included unless stated in the plan.

8. Pre-installed applications and panels

If you choose a VPS with a pre-installed application or panel (for example, n8n, Portainer or control panels), we install it when the server is delivered. That software belongs to third parties: it is governed by its own licenses and its support is provided by its developers. Paid licenses (such as cPanel or Plesk) are governed by the Software License Terms.

9. Availability (SLA)

We guarantee 99.95% monthly availability of the infrastructure. If we do not meet it, you can request credits for future invoices, according to the table, exclusions and procedure in the General Terms of Service. Downtime caused by the server's own configuration or software does not count as unavailability.

10. Invoicing and non-payment

  • We issue the renewal invoice 7 days before the due date and charge it automatically 2 days before if you have a saved payment method. You can turn off automatic charges with a ticket.
  • If we do not receive payment, the server may be suspended 3 days after the due date and will be permanently deleted, with all its data, 10 days after the due date. We will email you before the suspension and before the deletion.

11. Withdrawal and cancellation

  • Businesses and professionals: the VPS is not refundable once activated.
  • Consumers: when ordering you ask for the server to be activated immediately. If you withdraw within the following 14 days, we refund what you paid minus the part proportional to the time it was active.
  • You can cancel the server whenever you like from the client area; by default it ends at the end of the paid period and its data is deleted. The details are in the Cancellation, Refund and Withdrawal Policy.

12. Liability

We are not responsible for the configuration, security or content of your server under the unmanaged option, for unauthorised access caused by weak passwords or outdated software, or for the loss of data without backups. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms or the features of the plans. We will let you know by email or in the client area at least 15 days in advance. Changes do not affect the period already paid and, if you do not agree, you may cancel the service free of charge before they take effect.
